Tech Packs

In class we have been working on our tech packs, which includes all the information given to companies when designing garments. The first page displays general information about a garment as well as fabric and order information

The next section of information list every component of a garment including thread, labels, zippers, and fabric. Each item is described by quantity needed, color, and location.

The next section shows precise measurements of the garment for the sample size. This helps the manufacturer and buyers to estimate the exact size and fit of the garment. 

And lastly, there are special instructions regarding how the garment is to be put together that might be different or challenging for the manufacturer. 

So that is briefly what is included in a tech pack!

asos africa update

asos africa has a lot of new arrival!!

We are finally done with our tech packs today. Although these are not perfect, it is such a relieve to feel like it is done. Each of us have 15 total pieces, and we had to address the details of each piece by putting swatches, measurements, necessary notions, and construction details. Also now we have the main concept board that Ashley made (thanks to her)!!!!

Hello! Here is a little scoop on the the company's website.  Asos is now posting about the holiday season coming up and getting those party dresses out! There are all sorts of sequins and fur showing on the website and I'm sure there will be much more and the holiday season comes around.  Here is a dress with some of the more subtly shown sequins on it..
